There is a strong sense of village pride and the community pulls together particularly when times are tough – whether it is heavy snow or a pandemic. It has been running a community bus The Hedgehog since the 80s. People are loyal and support the local businesses. The village shares an enterprising spirit and over the years have renovated the village hall and established a community vineyard. In 2011 three hundred grape vines were planted on the land where the allotments are situated in Mickleton.
